Who you are agreeing with

SendSlice is operated by [TO BE SETTLED: registered legal entity name and address] ("we", "us"). These terms apply when you create an account or use the API. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you are confirming you may bind that company.

Your account

You give us an email address and confirm it by clicking a link we send. Until you confirm, the account cannot send.

Your API key is shown once, at signup. We store only a hash of it, which means we cannot recover it for you and neither can anyone who steals our database. Keep it secret; anything done with your key is treated as done by you.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the address you register, and for everything sent through your account.

What you may send

The acceptable use policy is part of these terms. In short: transactional mail to people who asked for it, or who have a genuine relationship with you. No unsolicited bulk mail, no purchased lists, no phishing.

New accounts start in the sandbox: mail goes from our own domain, carries a visible test banner, and may only be sent to addresses you have proven you control. That restriction protects the sending reputation every customer shares. Verify a domain of your own and it lifts.

Plans, metering and payment

Every plan is metered by the calendar month and resets on the 1st. The allowance for each plan is published on the site and enforced by the API; a send past the allowance is refused rather than billed.

Paid plans are charged monthly in advance. You can cancel at any time and keep the plan until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund part-months.

If we change a price, we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you may cancel instead.

Your content stays yours

We claim no ownership of your templates, your brand kits, your message content or your recipient lists. You grant us only the permission needed to render and deliver the mail you ask us to send.

Where the personal data of your own users is involved, you are the controller and we are your processor. The data processing addendum sets out what that means and is part of these terms.

Availability

We do not offer a service level agreement, on the free plan or on the paid ones. We aim to keep the API up and will say so publicly when it is not.

Email delivery depends on the receiving mail server, which is not ours. We can promise to hand your message to the network correctly. We cannot promise an inbox will accept it.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend an account immediately, without notice, if it is sending abusive mail or putting the shared sending reputation at risk. We will tell you why, and a suspension can be appealed by email.

You may close your account at any time. We will delete your account record, brand kits and sending metadata within 30 days of the request. Suppression records — addresses that bounced or complained — are kept after closure, because deleting them would mean mailing those people again.

Liability

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose.

Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost data, however it arises.

Changes and governing law

If we change these terms materially, we will email you at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that is acceptance; if you would rather not, cancel.

These terms are governed by the law of [TO BE SETTLED: governing law and venue], and the courts there have exclusive jurisdiction.
